While working for the Illinois Association of Park Districts in 1994, I had the opportunity to cover The Great American Workout Day in Gurnee, Illinois. Being a Chicago Bears fan, I was pleased to learn that former Bears quarterback, Jim McMahon, was headlining the event. A decade after winning the SuperBowl, it was a thrill for me to meet my favorite Monster of the Midway!
